Ambassador Kačinskas visited Cyprus and Albania

On September 30 - October 2, Ambassador Rolandas Kačinskas visited the Republic of Cyprus. On October 1, the Lithuanian ambasasdor attended a diplomatic reception, hosted by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, in honor of the country's independence day.

While in Nicossia, ambasasdor Kacinskas also held consultations with the senior MFA offficials - Secretary General of EU Affairs Amb. Kornelios S. Korneliou and Director of Political Affairs Amb. George Chacalli, Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Foreign and European Affairs Giorgos Lillikas, other officials. He also met with members of the Lithuanian community of Cyprus.

On October 9,  Ambasasdor  Kačinskas payed a one-day visit to Tirana, Albania. The Ambassador attended a selection meeting of the Twining project and had a meeting with Albanian Deputy Minister of European and Foreign Affairs Sokol Dedja. The meeting focused on Albania's prospects of starting EU membersship talks.
