When Can Consular Fees Be Paid in Cash?
Consular fees can be paid in cash only in exceptional cases, when payment through a payment service provider is not possible due to temporary technical reasons, or when the person seeking consular services is unable to make the payment through a payment service provider due to an accident or being a victim of a criminal act.
When Are Consular Fees Increased?
For consular actions performed outside the diplomatic mission or consular office, in other premises, on holidays, weekends, or at night, a double consular fee is charged for the specific consular action. The applicant must also cover necessary actual expenses such as transportation, accommodation (if applicable), and per diem costs.
For consular actions performed during mobile consular missions, a 50% higher consular fee is charged for the service.
