In large-scale crisis it is advised to follow and to observe information in the local media and observe the instructions provided by local authorities.

For assistance to Lithuanian nationals or unrepresented EU citizens abroad, please contact Lithuanian diplomatic missions in case of:

  • loss of travel document,
  • detention or arrest,
  • illness or accident,
  • death of a Lithuanian national,
  • criminal offence,
  • relief and repatriation in a large-scale crisis,
  • establishment of out-of-family care or adoption.

In case of emergency where there is no Lithuanian diplomatic representation, Lithuanian nationals have the right to receive consular assistance at the diplomatic/consular mission of any EU Member State. The website of the European Commission offers detailed information about diplomatic/consular missions of EU Member States abroad.
