Ambassador Lina Skerstonaitė presented letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Cyprus

On December 8, 2022 Ms. Lina Skerstonaitė, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Cyprus, residing in Greece, presented her letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades.

In the conversation held after the ceremony Ambassador Lina Skerstonaitė and the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades noted that the bilateral relations between our countries are excellent. "This year Lithuania and Cyprus are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. I am sure that we will continue to support each other in bilateral relations and EU affairs", said the Ambassador.

The EU agenda and regional security issues were also discussed during the meeting, paying particular attention to Russia's aggression in Ukraine.

Lithuania and Cyprus established diplomatic relations on  December 3 1992.
