Ambassador Skersonaitė presents letters of credence to Albanian President
On 10 November, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Albania Lina Skerstonaitė, who residing in Athens, Greece, presented her letters of credence to the President of Albania Bajram Begaj.
After the ceremony, the Ambassador congratulated the President of Albania on the opening of the EU accession negotiations, reaffirmed Lithuania’s support for the EU enlargement in the Western Balkans, and noted that Lithuania was ready to continue sharing its experts’ experience of European integration.
The Ambassador and the President also held an exchange of views on the development of bilateral relations, as well as the security situation in the Balkans and the world. Special attention was also paid to the danger and the impact of Russia's aggression against Ukraine on the world, and the need to provide comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.
