A successful candidate should have these qualifications: hold secondary education degree and (or) to have professional qualification; possess a valid driver’s license which entitles to drive the service vehicles of the Embassy (category B); have necessary skills of exploitation of the cars, to know the construction of a car and principals of its functioning; have a good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations, car transportation safety regulations, knowledge and ability of providing first aid; have a thorough knowledge of the regulations of the use of the Embassy’s and Ministry’s service cars; be able to navigate and select the optimal route for local and distant destinations, have an ability to plan and work independently; meet the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania necessary for the issue of a clearance certificate to work or access to classified  information or the right to work or access classified information marked “Restricted”, or to be beyond doubt of the person’s reliability. Considered as assets: Knowledge of Greek and English. Previous similar job experience, knowledge of diplomatic protocol. More than 5 years driving experience. References from previous employers.

Main responsibilities of the position:

driving the service vehicles of the Embassy;
driving the employees of the Embassy, delegations, guests of the Embassy  to and from the meetings and events;
observing and taking care of the technical state of Embassy’s vehicles, maintaining cleanliness of inside and outside of the vehicles;
taking care of the technical service of the vehicles, if necessary, organizing the repair services.
taking care of the insurance of the vehicles;
timely and responsibly completing the documentation related to vehicles and driving, maintaining  a record of vehicle fuel and other consumables and mileage;
delivering post, invitations and documents to various institutions, organizations or other entities and accordingly picking some up;
loading and unloading vehicles, transporting cargo to and from the Embassy, if necessary;
contributing to the organization of the Embassy’s events and receptions;
 performing other non-permanent assignments of the head of the mission.

A fix-term employment contract will be concluded with the successful candidate. The employment is scheduled to begin as soon as the selection and screening procedures have been completed.

Salary index from 5.89 (monthly salary is calculated according to the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania; i.e. annual gross salary is approximately from 14.000 Eur).
