____________

Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis was a creator of extraordinary versatility, leaving behind an impressive legacy: distinctive works of painting, musical compositions, and literary texts. His work not only laid the foundations for modern Lithuanian culture but also established him as a unique visionary figure in European art history. Čiurlionis often transcended his era – his creativity interwove various artistic forms, exploring the mystical connections between music, visual arts, and existence. Marking the 150th anniversary of Čiurlionis' birth, this exhibition invites the Greek public to rediscover the artist's work and its enduring value.

The exhibition will feature an innovative blend of traditional and contemporary art, unveiling Čiurlionis' masterpieces from new perspectives:

  • 3D reproductions of 12 of Čiurlionis' most famous paintings, recreated using advanced 3D modeling and artificial intelligence technologies. This cutting-edge project combines traditional art with digital tools, offering a fresh interpretation of iconic works such as Peace (1904/5), Fairy Tale (1907), Star Sonata (1908), and Rex (1909).
  • "Trail of Angels" – an immersive virtual reality animation inspired by M.K. Čiurlionis' paintings and music. This three-dimensional space presents 60 of the artist's works, allowing the viewer to undergo a unique transformation – from human to angel – reflecting on life, death, and the state of unity with the universe. The environment responds to the viewer's gaze, creating an interactive dialogue with Čiurlionis' art.
