Exploring Lithuanian Market Potential: Embassy Hosts Business Event in Athens

On May 19, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Greece and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an informational event titled "Greece–Lithuania: Business and Investment Opportunities." The aim of the event was to present the potential of the Lithuanian market to the Greek business community, highlighting Lithuania's role as a strategic gateway to the Baltic and Northern European markets. Participants were introduced to the legal and regulatory framework for foreign investments, bilateral economic indicators, and opportunities for business cooperation between the two countries.

Lithuanian Ambassador to Greece, Lina Skerstonaitė, emphasized the mutual benefits of business partnerships, while the Embassy’s Deputy Head of Mission, Mindaugas Vyskupaitis, presented the advantages of the Lithuanian market. Investment Advisor at Invest Lithuania Dominykas Stasiulaitis, Partner at the law firm WIDEN Aušra Brazauskienė, and Founder of The Greek Business Desk Mindaugas Vaičiūnas shared insights on the investment climate and their practical experience. Dr. Haris Meidanis, representative of a Greek law firm, also spoke about his collaboration with Lithuanian companies.

Vice-President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, highlighted Lithuania’s advanced economy, political stability, and business-friendly environment. She also underlined the growing trade ties, noting that Greek exports to Lithuania reached €72.85 million in 2024, particularly in the tobacco and fresh fruit sectors.
