Lithuania‘s economic review, September 2011
The GDP increased by 6.6 % in the third quarter of 2011 as
compared with the corresponding period of the previous
year, according to the second estimate by Statistics
Lithuania.
The economy grew by 1.3 % as compared with the second
quarter of 2011 (in seasonal adjusted terms).
Relatively fast, compared to the previous year, GDP growth
has been determined by growth in industrial production and
recovery in consumption.
Following the forecast of the Ministry of Finance the
economy will grow by 5.8 % in 2011 and by 4.7 % in 2012.
